How I can help
I provide website support and maintenance for individuals, freelancers, small businesses and organisations. I’m happy to work on an existing site, including one built by someone else. You might need a single fix or someone to help with the jobs that keep coming back.
WordPress & website updates
I can update WordPress and its plugins, the add-ons that provide things like forms and other features. Before updating, I look at the backup arrangements and whether changes need testing on a separate copy of the site. Afterwards, I check that the affected parts still work.
Fixing what isn’t working
Perhaps a link leads nowhere, an image won’t load or a form says it sent a message that never arrives. I follow the problem through to find out where it goes wrong. Then I can explain the fix without expecting you to understand the code.
Security & backups
I can review who has access to the site, check for outdated software and look at how backups are stored. I can also help check whether those saved copies can be used to restore the website if needed.
Help with the smaller things
You don’t need a broken website to ask for help. It might be a page you can’t edit, an unfamiliar warning or a few changes you haven’t had time to make. I can handle the task or explain how to do it yourself.
